Day 1- Arrive Vancouver
Your flight arrives in Vancouver today. As Canada’s third largest city, this destination is steeped in arts, culture and fantastic amenities at every turn. Transfer to your hotel independently, and once you have checked in, you will have the rest of the day to enjoy the salty air and the magnificent sights. Overnight Vancouver.
Day 2 - Vancouver Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring this coastal city with a Hop-on Hop-off bus tour - the perfect way to see Vancouver’s most beloved attractions. You will enjoy looks at landmarks, such as Stanley Park and Granville Island; see attractions, including the Vancouver Aquarium, English Bay Beach and the Robson Street Shopping District; and get a deeper understanding of the region’s vast culture as you travel along the cobbled streets of Gastown. Day 3 - Vancouver/VIA Rail Vancouver to Toronto
This morning, revisit favorite sites throughout Vancouver or take a walk along one of the many trails throughout the city. Later, transfer by taxi (included) to Vancouver’s train station, board VIA Rail’s Canadian and settle into your onboard accommodations. Day 4 - En Route to Toronto
Today you will awake in the rugged scenery of the Canadian Rockies. Jasper National Park is a wildlife sanctuary, so be on the lookout for one of the many species of mammals that live within the park and often wander within view of the tracks. Head to the Dining Car for a hot breakfast before exploring the amenities aboard the train. Day 7- Arrive Toronto
Leave the wide-open spaces of rural Canada behind as the train makes its way toward Toronto. Upon arrival, transfer independently to your centrally located hotel. Spend the afternoon getting acquainted with this cosmopolitan town located on beautiful Lake Ontario. Toronto is well-known for its colorful nightlife scene, so enjoy dinner, drinks, and then stay out for live music, shows, seasonal sporting events and plenty of places to spend your time once the sun goes down. Day 8 - Toronto Sightseeing
Enjoy a look at Toronto from a local’s perspective with a Hop-on Hop-off sightseeing tour of the city today. Aboard a double-decker bus, you will travel along a 12-mile loop through the center of the city. Along the way, sites such as Eaton Center, Casa Loma, the Bata Shoe Museum, Chinatown, the Hockey Hall of Fame and the famed Distillery District. You may “hop” on and off the bus at your leisure to get a better look at these incredible sites. Following the tour, you may spend your last evening in Toronto however you see fit. Overnight Toronto.
Day 9 - Tour Conclusion
Your Trans Canada rail tour comes to a close this morning as you check out of your hotel. Upon checkout, a shuttle will take you to Toronto’s airport where you will either return home or set out on your next great adventure.
