Today, its jaw-dropping beauty still draws royalty, celebrities and fashionable travellers from all over the world. Spend today exploring Capri. Wander through the Piazzetta and listen to the melodious chiming of the clock tower, admire the blue ocean as it crashes onto the cliffs, and taste its famous flourless chocolate cake or a fresh caprese salad. A late departure means you can soak in the atmosphere of the village after dark.

This morning you’ll arrive in Amalfi, the historic village that gave this region its name. Nestled between mountains and the sea, Amalfi was one of the four Maritime Republics of Italy in the Middle Ages, bringing great wealth and power. Wander along its meandering alleyways to admire historic buildings, grand churches and ornate fountains, or just relax at one of the many cafes that spill out onto the street. The nearby village of Ravello offers spectacular views of the Bay of Salerno and peaceful gardens surrounding medieval ruins.

The World Heritage-listed Aeolian Islands are seven volcanic outcrops set off the north coast of Sicily with a rich history dating back to 5000BC. As you sail into the islands this morning, look out for the huge rock formations that rise dramatically from the water. Lipari is the largest and most populated of the islands, known for its pebbled beaches, hiking trails and historic harbour. From its panoramic position, a castle overlooks the seafront of pastel-coloured townhouses, with windswept highlands and steep cliffs in the distance.

Known as the Jewel of Sicily, Taormina is one of the island’s most popular resorts. Welcome to Valletta, Malta. This may be Europe’s smallest capital, but the 16th century city offers so much for its size. It was crowned the European Capital of Culture in 2018 for its brilliant mix of history and modernity. Amidst the cobblestone streets and ancient walls of this World Heritage-listed city, you’ll find a lively arts, culinary and nightlife scene, as well as lavish palaces, grand domes, and gardens. Marvel at its historic architecture and iconic landmarks, such as the Valletta Waterfront and the Pinto Wharf area.

Spend the day in the Sicilian city of Syracuse. Explore the remnants of ancient civilisations in the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, where the Greek Theatre and Roman Amphitheatre stand as testaments to the citys rich past. Stroll through the charming streets of Ortigia, the historic heart of Syracuse, with its baroque architecture and bustling markets. Indulge in Sicilian cuisine at waterfront trattorias, savouring local delicacies like arancini and cannoli.

After a day of exploration, today enjoy some relaxation at sea. Take some time to explore the ship and familiarise yourself with all the areas on board your new ultra-luxury home. Step back in time as you explore the medieval fortress town perched atop a rocky peninsula, with its labyrinth of narrow streets and Byzantine churches. Climb to the Upper Town for panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and the surrounding countryside.

Discover the rich tapestry of history as you wander through Nafplion’s charming streets adorned with neoclassical architecture, Venetian fortresses, and Turkish mosques. Explore the winding alleys of the Old Town, where traditional tavernas and quaint cafes beckon you to indulge in local delicacies. Climb the steps to Palamidi Fortress for breathtaking views of the town and sea below or relax on the sandy shores of Arvanitia Beach. Your cruise will depart Nafplion for Spetses early this morning. Known as ‘The Island of Jasmine’, Spetses is planted with pine and olive trees and flowers. This afternoon, you will cruise to Hydra, where you can lose yourself in narrow alleys of white-washed houses. Welcome to Mykonos, a cosmopolitan island where pristine beaches meet the charm of Cycladic architecture. The island is known for its hedonistic atmosphere, however, it has a more relaxed side to it. Explore the winding streets adorned with whitewashed buildings and vibrant bougainvillea, see its iconic windmills, picturesque churches, and dine in lively waterfront cafes. This evening, as Scenic Eclipse II departs Mykonos and the twinkling lights of the city disappear, toast to an unforgettable voyage at the Sky Bar on Deck 10. Your voyage concludes this morning in Piraeus, the historic port city of Athens. Known as the birthplace of Western civilisation, Athens is a vibrant tapestry of history and modernity. Standing sentinel above the city is the famous Acropolis, a fortified hill dominated by the Parthenon, atmospheric ruins of a white marble temple built during the height of the ancient Greek Empire.
