Lovely Panache cruises past the quaint canalside towns
of Alsace. Visit Strasbourg’s Gothic cathedral, stroll the
charming Petit France district, drive the scenic Route
des Vins d’Alsace and have dinner ashore, and admire
Chagall’s stained glass at a 13th-century chapel.
You are met in Strasbourg and transferred to the barge, moored in nearby Krafft, where a welcome reception awaits followed by dinner on board.
Day 2 - Monday
Cruise through the Grand Ried wetlands with their abundant birdlife this morning. After lunch, visit Strasbourg's 12th-century Gothic cathedral and explore the pedestrian area of the Petit France district.
Day 3 - Tuesday
After breakfast, cruise to picturesque Waltenheim-sur-Zorn. Later, drive through the rolling Vosges hills along the Route des Grands Vins to a private tasting of the region's famous Alsatian wines. Enjoy dinner ashore at a traditional restaurant.
Day 4 - Wednesday
Cruise to enchanting Saverne for a walking tour through the picturesque town.
Day 5 - Thursday
After a cruise to Lutzelbourg, visit the mountaintop village of La Petite Pierre and view the outstanding René Lalique collection with its exceptional examples of Art Nouveau and Art Deco glassware.
Day 6 - Friday
Visit a patisserie and a local crystal glassworks before the barge ascends a unique boat elevator at Arzviller. In Sarrebourg, visit a 13th-century chapel with remarkable stained glass by Marc Chagall. Tonight's dinner is a gala farewell hosted by your barge captain.
